Virtual visit with clinician

Ongoing support, always available.

You’ll be supported by experienced clinicians who care for a wide range of health needs, from everyday concerns to more complex conditions.

Our clinicians track your progress over time and adjust your care as needed. If medication is prescribed, we’ll manage dosing and monitor for side effects. If lab testing is recommended, we review results and refine your plan accordingly. You’re never left to navigate care on your own.

All your care in one place. That’s the General Medicine difference.

We help you understand your options, connect you to the right clinicians, manage prescriptions, coordinate any needed evaluations, and keep an eye on your overall health along the way. It’s comprehensive care that looks at the full picture — your goals, your history, your lifestyle — and makes it simple to move forward with confidence.

What our customers say about in-person visits

Hear from people who've had General Medicine match them with the right specialist — and stay in their corner every step of the way.

“I had low testosterone all the way around so I wanted a referral so I could get properly tested. I'm now getting what I need and leaving my primary care doc in the weeds.”

Geoff

“General Medicine reached out to a local neurologist for me and got me an in-person appointment for the same week. My PCP through General Medicine continued to reach out to me to follow up, and I felt very supported the entire time.”

Cait

“They always treat me with respect and do their best to get me treated quickly. They arrange for all tests and doctor visits when they refer you to specialists. Plus, they take my Medicaid insurance!”

Frequently asked questions

What is General Medicine?

General Medicine is a healthcare store — you choose the care you need, know what it costs, and we make sure it works. That covers common and chronic conditions, prescriptions, labs and imaging, and specialist care, whether that's through our own clinicians or the right person in your community.

How much does a visit cost?

There's no membership or subscription — you pay per visit, and you'll see pricing with or without insurance before you book, so there are no surprises.

Who's on the care team?

Our care team includes board-certified doctors, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses, with backgrounds spanning family medicine, emergency medicine, and specialty care. Behind the scenes, our care operations team handles billing, insurance, and coordination — so nothing falls through the cracks between visits.

How do you protect my health information?

Your health information is never shared or sold for advertising, marketing, or any other purpose — we're paid for delivering care, not for your data. It's protected under HIPAA. Read the full details in our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.

What if I have a medical emergency?

If you're having a medical emergency — chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, or another life-threatening symptom — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room right away. General Medicine is built for scheduled and urgent, non-emergency care. It isn't a substitute for emergency services.

What happens after my visit?

Your care doesn't end when the visit does. Your clinician builds a plan based on your full history, and if you need a follow-up, a prescription refill, or another specialist, General Medicine stays involved. Even if you talk to a different clinician next time, you're never starting over.
