What is Trelegy Ellipta?

Trelegy Ellipta is a once-daily triple combination inhaler for COPD and asthma maintenance therapy, containing three medications in a single device: fluticasone furoate (an inhaled corticosteroid), umeclidinium (a long-acting muscarinic antagonist), and vilanterol (a long-acting beta-2 agonist). Together, these three classes of bronchodilator and anti-inflammatory medication provide the most comprehensive airway management available in a single inhaler. It reduces COPD exacerbations, improves lung function, and relieves symptoms more effectively than dual-therapy options—all from one inhalation once each morning.

Fluticasone reduces airway inflammation, umeclidinium blocks muscarinic receptors to relax airway smooth muscle via the cholinergic pathway, and vilanterol activates beta-2 receptors for additional bronchodilation—three complementary mechanisms delivering comprehensive COPD and asthma management.
