What is Meloxicam?

Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve pain, swelling, and stiffness from osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. It works by reducing the production of chemicals in the body that cause inflammation. Unlike some other NSAIDs that require multiple daily doses, meloxicam is typically taken just once a day.

Cyclooxygenase inhibition

Blocks the COX-2 enzyme that produces inflammatory prostaglandins, reducing swelling and pain at the source rather than just masking discomfort.

Built for chronic joint pain

Commonly used for osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, where steady all-day inflammation control matters more than fast, short-lived relief.

Once-daily dosing

Its long half-life allows once-daily dosing, unlike many other NSAIDs that need to be taken multiple times a day.
