LEEP (cervical dysplasia treatment)
If LEEP has been recommended after an abnormal test result, a gynecologist can walk you through what's next. A General Medicine clinician reviews your history and builds a referral request, so your in-person visit starts without delay. If something's missing, we handle it before you go.

How in-person visits work
1
Browse local gynecologists
Tell us who you'd prefer, or let us choose — and we'll connect you with a local gynecologist in your area.
2
We schedule for you
After clinical review, you'll get an official referral. From there, we'll book the earliest appointment that fits your schedule and preferences, and send you the details within 2 business days.
3
Your in-person team is fully prepped
We share your health history ahead of time. And if anything comes up before or after your visit, we're a text away.
4
Get ongoing support anytime
Medications, labs, follow-ups, and referrals — we can coordinate it all. And because your history moves with you, you're never starting from scratch.

All your care in one place. That’s the General Medicine difference.
We help you understand your options, connect you to the right clinicians, manage prescriptions, coordinate any needed evaluations, and keep an eye on your overall health along the way. It’s comprehensive care that looks at the full picture — your goals, your history, your lifestyle — and makes it simple to move forward with confidence.

What to know before your LEEP (cervical dysplasia treatment)
If you've already had an abnormal Pap or biopsy result, we'll make sure your gynecologist has it before your visit, so they can walk you through what it means right away. If you haven't had that result yet, the gynecologist can order the testing needed first.
LEEP, short for loop electrosurgical excision procedure, uses a thin wire loop with an electrical current to remove abnormal cervical tissue found on a prior test — done in-office under local anesthesia
Most people resume normal activity within a day, with some spotting and discharge for a few weeks during healing
Your gynecologist will also go over risks, alternatives, and answer your questions before anything is decided
