What is Levetiracetam?

Levetiracetam is a prescription anti-seizure medication used to treat multiple types of epilepsy in adults and children. Its exact mechanism isn't fully understood, but it's believed to work by binding to a synaptic protein (SV2A) that regulates the release of neurotransmitters involved in abnormal electrical activity.
