What is a Fibrinogen Activity Test?

The Fibrinogen Activity test measures how functionally active fibrinogen is — the clotting protein that is converted to fibrin to form blood clots. Unlike a fibrinogen antigen test that simply measures quantity, the activity test assesses whether fibrinogen is actually working correctly, making it the more clinically relevant measure for evaluating bleeding risk and coagulation function.
