Estradiol

Measures the primary form of estrogen in the blood. Estradiol levels shift significantly during perimenopause and can help explain changes in cycles, mood, and other symptoms.

FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone)

Measures follicle stimulating hormone, which signals the ovaries to produce eggs. Rising FSH levels are one of the hallmark indicators of the perimenopausal transition.

Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH)

Measures AMH, a hormone produced by the ovarian follicles. AMH levels can give insight into ovarian reserve and how the reproductive system is changing over time.

Prolactin

Measures the hormone prolactin, which plays a role in breast health and menstrual regularity. Abnormal levels can sometimes contribute to irregular periods or other symptoms.

Testosterone, Total

Measures total testosterone in the blood. Testosterone plays a role in energy, mood, and libido, and levels can shift during the perimenopausal years.

Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG)

Measures SHBG, a protein that binds to sex hormones like testosterone and estrogen. SHBG levels affect how much of these hormones is available for the body to use.

TSH with Reflex to Free T4

Measures thyroid stimulating hormone, with an automatic follow-up Free T4 test if TSH is abnormal. Thyroid changes can mimic or overlap with perimenopausal symptoms like fatigue and weight changes.

Ferritin

Measures ferritin, a protein that reflects the body's iron stores. Heavy or irregular periods during perimenopause can deplete iron, leading to fatigue and other symptoms.

CBC (includes Differential and Platelets)

A complete blood count that evaluates red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. It provides a broad picture of blood health and can help identify anemia or other conditions.
