What is Albuterol?

Albuterol is a short-acting bronchodilator and the most widely used rescue inhaler for asthma and COPD. When airways tighten during an asthma attack or COPD flare, albuterol quickly relaxes the smooth muscle surrounding the bronchial tubes, opening them up and restoring easier breathing within minutes.
