Questions? We can help.
Whether you already have a prescription or are looking to try something new, our clinical team can answer any questions you may have.
Can I renew my medication online without seeing a doctor in person?
Yes — a licensed clinician can review your renewal request remotely and, when it's clinically appropriate, renew most common medications through General Medicine's telehealth platform. General Medicine does not prescribe controlled medications, so anything in that category still needs an in-person path.
How fast can I get a refill?
Most refill requests are reviewed and confirmed the same day. You'll hear back from your care team directly once it's been reviewed.
What's the difference between a "refill" and a "renewal"?
A refill is ordering more of a medication you already have active refills remaining for; a renewal is requesting a new prescription after those refills have run out. Refills can usually be ordered directly. A renewal goes through a clinician review first, since it's a new prescribing decision, not a reorder.
