If in-person care or a specialist referral is the right next step, we'll help you book a visit with a provider that meets your needs.
Can I use General Medicine for chronic conditions?
Yes. We help manage chronic conditions like asthma, diabetes, and high blood pressure with personalized care plans, proactive support, and easy-to-access follow-up.

For therapy or more complex mental health needs, we'll guide you to trusted providers who can offer ongoing, specialized support. Our team is here to help you navigate the best next steps.

General AI
How are my recommendations generated?
Your recommendations are based on the health history we gather, with your approval, and any information you've shared in your chat. Our system uses current clinical standards from trusted organizations such as the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, World Health Organization, and American Cancer Society.
How is my information used?
Only authorized clinicians and technical staff can access your information, which is protected under strict privacy and security standards, including HIPAA. Your data are used solely to support your care and are never sold.
How often is General AI updated or retrained?
We update General AI on an ongoing basis to improve the customer experience, reflect new medical guidelines, emerging research, and feedback from our clinicians.
What happens if General AI gets something wrong?
All medical decisions, such as prescription and lab orders, medical consults, diagnostics, and specialist referrals, are made by a licensed clinician through General Medicine or another provider. AI is used to help customers prepare before and between visits. It does not replace a physician and is trained not to offer diagnosis, medical advice, or otherwise attempt to provider medical care.
What data does General Medicine have access to?
With your consent, we securely gather your health history through U.S. health information exchanges for the purpose of medical treatment.
When does a clinician review my plan?
For new customers, your clinician reviews your plan to start your asynchronous consult within 24-48 hours after you finish chatting with General AI; for returning customers, your doctor reviews and updates your plan as part of your next visit.
