What is Bupropion HCl?

Bupropion HCl is an antidepressant that works differently from SSRIs—instead of targeting serotonin, it increases levels of dopamine and norepinephrine, two neurotransmitters that influence mood, motivation, and focus. It's prescribed for depression, seasonal affective disorder, and under the brand name Zyban, for smoking cessation.
