What is Amlodipine-Olmesartan?

Amlodipine-Olmesartan is a combination blood pressure medication containing amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, and olmesartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). Together, they lower blood pressure through two complementary and distinct mechanisms, providing greater blood pressure reduction than either medication alone. Combining two drugs in one tablet simplifies the daily regimen and improves adherence for patients who need more than one medication to control their blood pressure. It's taken once daily and is appropriate for patients whose hypertension hasn't been adequately controlled on a single agent.
